In Loving Memory of Gospel Icon KODA: A Final Farewell
Today marks the final chapter in the life of celebrated gospel musician Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, affectionately known as KODA. The sorrow-filled event is happening at the KICC Dominion Centre on Spintex Road, Accra, near the Coca-Cola Roundabout. Friends and family have come to pay their respects to, and bid farewell to, a man whose music touched hearts across the board.
KODA sadly breathed his last on Sunday, April 24, 2024, when he was 45 years old. His passing has left a void in modern gospel music in and outside Ghana that can never be filled. An undisputed talented gospel minister with unquestionable passion for soul-winning, Koda’s songs have traversed borders, inspiring, bringing hope, and healing to many souls.
The multi-award-winning artist KODA was far more than an artist; he was a mentor and a producer who helped shape the sound of the next generation of gospel musicians. Today, even in mourning, we give much appreciation for his immense contribution to leaving a legacy deeply rooted in faith, passion, and devotion to the uplifting of others through music.
While KODA’s life on earth has come to an end, it is just the opposite with his songs that live in our hearts and echo this great hope of eternal life. Rest in Peace, KODA. Your voice may be silenced, but your song will never fade.
